With the leadership of our new Workforce Business Consultant, Beth Branam, MCCBC will be providing TA, resources, and support across 2 cohorts of no more than 25 programs each to create, implement, and support sustainable practices specific to workforce recruitment and retention. The goal of this initiative is to create higher employee retention across child care businesses and to develop a replicable model of evidence-based recruitment and retention strategies that can be customized and implemented throughout the state.
This cohort will be comprised of the following components:
Monthly Cohort Sessions. These sessions will be around 1.5 – 2 hours in length. The sessions will include a training component and allow for discussion among cohort members to assist in the development of a recruitment and retention action plan, as well as the development of best practices to support sustainability.
Book Study: There will be a book study held monthly for cohort members to further develop best practices. Each cohort will get the opportunity for up to two book studies.
One-on-One Check-ins/Training and Technical Assistance. Every other month, cohort participants will have a one-on-one check-in with the workforce business consultant to support them in the development and implementation of their action plan and address any individual training/technical assistance needs. Cohort members can also request additional one-on-one support if needed.
Communities of Practice: Communities of Practice will be formed if needed to address additional topic areas of importance for subgroups on the cohort. Ex. Difference in needs based on provider type.
